I know it says Hannah published this entry, but it's actually Mason here! The dust has settled. RAIN FOLLOWS THE PLOW is now a (lovely) memory, and a dream place to visit when this world fails to hold my attention. I must admit, this is a hard show to come down from, but one of the ideas I've taken away from this production is that change is good.
And speaking of change, we have a whole new season of original work to share with you! Consider this a tiny taste of what is to come at small bites, BIG IDEAS. What is small bites, BIG IDEAS, you ask? Why, it's Savage Umbrella's season fundraiser, and it's right around the corner, y'all. Details are here and tickets are here. Get on it. Aside from good company and deliciousness all around, the thing I am most looking forward to at the fundraiser is the unveiling of our season art. The very best part is that the fabulous fundraiser guests get to vote on different designs created by wonderfully talented artist friends of ours. Because I want you to have SOMEthing to look at, I have taken it upon myself to create some placeholder art for the time being. Okay, time to announce the Savage Umbrella's 2013-2014 Season: You see, the internet beneath of us is full of pixels. Plow as much as you can, and those pixels get exposed, go up, and come back down as gosh-darn blessed GIFs.
If you haven't seen Rain Follows the Plow, that little joke I made won't make any sense. Fortunately, you have 3 chances left to get in on the hilarity. July 18! July 19! And July 20! All performances at 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets online and come see this gorgeous production before it's too late. And without further ado, release the GIFs! /Tanner We're never too old for art projects. At least, that's what Savage Umbrella believes. In Rain Follows the Plow, Clara is protesting the destruction of her childhood home. In the lobby of The Playwrights' Center, we provided colored pencils and asked audience members to share their memories of special places that they've lost. Below is a sampling of these remembrances. /Tanner You have three chances to see the beautiful new play and participate with your special memory. Rain Follows the Plow
