Making a play is not unlike planning a party. Trying to combine the right combination of people and design and fun and snacks that will encourage people you like to pause their busy lives and come hang out with you for the evening. Last weekend we threw a play that was a party (or was it a party that was a play?) and we couldn't have been more pleased with experience.
We are beyond excited to welcome you into the world of HOUSE PARTY this coming Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22! We’ve been hard at work over the past five weeks, figuring out who these characters are and how they got here, brought together by a single party, whether they like it or not. Tanner [picked his own brain] on the subject recently, in case you missed it. This morning at 12:15am we found out we’d be receiving an unexpected $20,000. We each have our own story of how we sleepily realized what had just happened (ask us about them someday, they are all pretty funny). Cue a series of ALL CAPS, multi exclamation mark, profanity laden texts, emails, phone calls, and Facebook threads.
We’ve got smiles on our faces and glitter in our hearts because we officially have FULL CAST AND PRODUCTION TEAM for our upcoming production of These are the Men! We want to welcome all of our guest artists under the umbrella now and can’t WAIT for you to see the fruits of our labor at The Southern Theatre in March 2015. (Pssst if you haven’t signed up to be an ARTshare member do it today!)
