There is no coherent way for me to write my own post-show wrap-up blog post. Especially now, especially for this show. I could write 10 times my word limit, 100 times, and still not be done. So, I’ll just tell you what I’m thinking. Here’s what I am thinking now: I think that this show is still not done. I think that every piece was exactly as it needed to be for this iteration. I could never ask for more talented, committed collaborators for this iteration of this project. Each piece fit so unbelievably well. I had a conversation after the show one night with Ted Moore, and he expressed that he thought it was just the right length - that he could not imagine it shorter (but perhaps longer), that things had the proper room to breathe, to develop. I couldn’t agree more - you’ll see above that one of the most used words to describe this show is long, and I don’t disagree, but it takes as long as it takes to tell the story of an entire life.  Words describing THESE ARE THE MEN, as gathered from audience surveys. We came. We played. and now we’ve struck THESE ARE THE MEN. In lieu of the standard post-show ennui, we’ve got a WHOLE GIANT AWESOME weekend planned full of making and playing and cocktail-ing and per ushe, we’d love to have you snuggling up with us under our umbrella and in our for real SPACE!  Carl made this amazing stencil and I WANT TO STENCIL EVERYTHING. FRIDAY. We’ve been planning and cleaning and painting to give our SPACE so super fly upgrades in advance of our SPACE warming party! Well friends, we’ve had our first few rentals and the keg is ordered, so come on down to Vandalia Tower for drinks, snacks, and general merriment as we toast a new place that we hope you feel is as much your creative home as it is ours. We want to see you, high five you, hear what you want to do in SPACE, and find out what we can do to make this place awesome for all of us. Please join us!  Our entry nook is lookin' fly. (but can we stencil the wall like, 5 times?) SUNDAY. We still have a handful of spots left for something that we are SUPER excited for. Amy Ginther of Vocal Context will be teaching a workshop on Acting and Voicing the Archetypes in SPACE! We’re excited to get the chance to do some company training but we also believe strongly that, our friends and collaborators benefit from this training as well!
