Hello again fellow Makers and Shakers! It's only a few more weeks before JUNE opens February 12th, and we can't tell you how excited we are to officially open the doors to The Box and share with you the secret lives and stories of its patrons. JUNE will be performed at the beautiful Southern Theater as part of ARTshare's first wave of 2016 offerings. We're super pumped that we get to share the month of February with two wonderful groups performing fantastically varied pieces: Main Street School of Performing Arts, presenting FAMILY UNIT and Minneapolis Music Company, presents A FIDDLER'S TALE. ARTshare is all about sharing. Space. Talent. Expertise. So this week we're sharing some blog-space to highlight these two productions. We hope you give them a gander alongside JUNE next month! FAMILY UNIT - Main Street School of Performing ArtsFamily Unit is a high energy original ensemble work based in the not too distant future. After years in seclusion, a family must navigate a new and unfamiliar crisis ridden world. Loyalties are tested, bonds are made, limits are broken as we discover what it means to be family, and explore the balance between our values and our survival. Show opens Feb. 5 Check out their trailer video and reserve tickets here! A FIDDLER'S TALE - Minneapolis Music CompanyIn this classic cautionary tale, featuring the devil as the protagonist, a musician is seduced by the promise of easy fame, untold wealth, and the glitz and glamour of the commercial music industry. A Fiddler’s Tale illustrates challenges facing artists—in a way that’s strikingly relevant to the music business today. One performance only Feb. 22 Get more info and reserve tickets here! We can't wait to see what these talented groups have to say come February! We'll save you a seat :) More JUNE behind-the-scenes goodies in the queue as we ramp up to open February 12th! See you next time, under the umbrella. Creative Climate is a bi-monthly segment in which we at Savage Umbrella showcase other productions within the Minneapolis ARTshare program and beyond.
