OMG, OMG, OMG! JUNE opens tomorrow... Friday, February 12th at The Southern Theater! In celebration of our opening, we asked the cast to tell us just why they thought people should come see JUNE. If you haven’t already, you can snatch up your tickets here. “It’s the story of a really specific counterculture, but at its heart, the message is really universal. Belonging, being part of a community, secrets… it’s all part of being human. It’s hard to find where you belong and people who love you the way you are.” – Leslie Vincent, playing "June" “There’s a phenomenally talented cast and crew, creating in an all-female space, which is really rare and inspiring. It’s an original play written for women by women, with women running the tech, building the sets, and making the music. It’s also a really personal story for me as a member of the GLBT community, as well as a story I haven’t seen anywhere else.” – Allison Witham, playing "B" “It’s a beautiful love story, of friendship, romantic love, and deep connections.” – Kathryn Fumie, playing "Lil" “This play has some of the most ridiculous, delightful, sensitive, flawed and fun characters. Come see them. “ – Marika Proctor, playing "Viv" “We’re telling a story that we hope others see themselves in, to feel that there’s a place where they belong in the world. There’s also badass ladies.” – Hope Nordquist, playing "Jo" “I think it’s really rare to find the perfect storm of strong, headsmart, intelligent, independent women creating a show that is truly about characters that are strong women, in a time period that is really underrepresented. “ – Meagan Kedrowski, playing "MJ" “The women in the cast have all brought a really impressive amount of courage and vulnerability to their work. It makes for a very moving piece of theater.” – Emily Dussault, playing "Mae" JUNE
