New Season, New Website, New Experiments

Hey there fans, family, and friends!

SU has some new things happening and some new happenings on the horizon:

NEW SEASON

We just wrapped the final project of our 2013-2014 season--the workshop presentation of JUNE--and it was magical. A big thanks to everyone who came out to the Southern (or Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts) to talk about secrets, dreams, and the complex and beautiful minds of women in 1950s America.

With the awesomeness of the past season fresh in our minds (LEAVES, RAPTURE, THESE ARE THE MEN Workshop), we look forward to 2014-2015! Can you believe it...

We not quite ready to do the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT yet because we want to give you the whole shebang with pictures and fireworks! (Keep an eye out for that soon!) However, you might already know a few things we've got cooking this fall...

Have you noticed? We've got a brand new look!

We're still working on it (fixing the broken links as we go!), but we're thrilled to share it with you.

Take a look around and make yourself at home! May I suggest perusing the company bios? These are the folks that make the magic happen on the daily (with so much help from you, of course!).

NEW EXPERIMENTS

Have you heard about ARTshare, yet? 

Savage Umbrella is so excited to be a part of this amazing new experiment at the Southern Theater. We've got some awesome things in the making for early 2015 that may or may not involve some Greek tragedy, a dark prophecy, a handful of hope, a dash of desire, and a whole lot of magical weirdness.
