Here’s the inside scoop on the beer created for tonight’s event by everyone’s favorite beer-brewing neurologist, Mike Leffler-McCabe! (Cute, brews beer, AND a DOCTOR?! Hands off ladies and gents or you’ll have Artistic Director Laura Leffler-McCabe to answer to!)
Honey Wheat Wildflower honey specially processed to preserve floral aromas, then combined with a 50% wheat malt and hopped with four additions of cascade hops. Light and floral. India Pale Ale Stronger full-bodied ale with West Coast hops combined with English hops for a fusion of IPA styles. Full-bodied and bitter. Blackberry Sage Porter Basic brown porter spiced up with savory home-grown sage and sweet blackberries to make a surprising flavor combination. Roasted and fruity flavors. Vanilla Root Beer Traditional root beer flavor combined with natural vanilla bean. Soda-licious. Remember, kids: we’ll also have Tavernillo and Bianco wines, coffee, and iced tea. ALL. YOU. CAN. DRINK. Get under the umbrella, where the fun’s at, obvsies. Join us TODAY, Thursday, Aug. 23 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Open Book (10th and Washington, downtown). Suggested donation of $10 / $25 / $50. Free artisanal beer, wine, and nosh. Live and silent auctions. Featuring the talents of local bands Fairfax, AK and Discord Syndicate. Comments are closed.
